About Masr Seafood
Masr Seafood is an online fishmonger working across Greater Cairo. There is no shop to visit: you order on the site, and we prepare and deliver to your door.
What we actually do
We sell fish, shrimp, calamari, cuttlefish, crab, lobster and the rest of the catch to your door across Greater Cairo. You choose the item, the weight and the preparation on the site, and we prepare the order on the morning of delivery and bring it in a sealed ice box.
Prices update every day
The price of fish moves day to day, so we update prices every morning. What you see on the site is today's price, not last week's, and it is the price delivered to your door with cleaning included and nothing hidden added later.
The scale and the cleaning
We weigh the fish whole before cleaning, as any fishmonger you trust does. Gutting and scaling carry a fixed price per kilo. So does the preparation you choose, whether fillet, steaks, butterflied or peeled shrimp, and every one of them is shown to you before the item goes into the cart.
When an item is not up to standard
If an item is not available at a quality we are happy with on a given day, we take it off the market rather than sell it, and we call you in the morning to agree a substitute or drop it from the order so you pay less. If an order does reach you below the standard it should be, message us on WhatsApp and we make it good on the next one.
What we say and what we do not
Anything imported, such as Norwegian salmon, says so in its description. We do not publish customer ratings, so any rating attributed to us did not come from us. And we do not use misleading photography for items we do not sell.
Hours
Ordering is open on the site at any hour, day or night. Delivery is the next day between 8 and 11 or 11 and 2.
Contact and ordering
Orders are placed on the site directly, and your order number is shown to you straight away. You can follow an order from the tracking page using the order number and the phone number you ordered with.
